Adult Signature Required

A few people have complained that we require an adult signature for package release upon delivery. You may be thinking, "I work, how am I supposed to get my parts?" We understand your frustration, we really do. Unfortunately we have to implement this because of a few bad apples out there. You have to look at it from our point of view also. If we ship out a $1000 set of wheels and don't require a signature - UPS just leaves them at your door. If they get stolen who is responsible? Not UPS. Believe me - it's happened before. It wasn't wheels it was a $500 intake. Customer calls up says somebody stole his intake & wants us to replace it. UPS did what they were supoosed to do. The part was delivered as promised. We even had insurance on the item. Theft after delivery is not covered. Was it our fault the item was stolen? No. Was is it the customers fault? No again. So to prevent this from happening again we require an adult signature for release. We simply want to safeguard your packages to the best of our ability until you actually get them in your hands. We can make arrangements to have your packages delivered to an alternate address if you like. We just need to know. We want to get you the parts you've ordered safely and in a timely manner. DD

The Price Match Game
I've seen a lot of ads lately screaming, "WE PRICE MATCH". My question is this, if you're so concerned about taking care of your customers, why do you make them jump through hoops and ask for price matching? In other words, if some poor guy comes along and doesn't think to ask for a price match - thanks for the handout sucker! Why not just put your best price out there for everybody to see? We don't play the price match game. We make every effort to give you the best price possible everyday without having to jump through hoops. We have great prices - period. Sometimes we price items lower than wholesale! Our philosphy here is to give the consumer the best price possible without a lot of hassle and quick shipping to boot. We don't play games with our prices. What you see is what you get. DD

"Free" Shipping?
Many of our competitors offer "free" shipping. This one really irks me. I'm sure you've heard that nothing in life is free. Well, it applies to shipping as well. Let's take a look at how "free" shipping ends up costing you money. One of our competitors sells the popular M4209F373N ring & pinion sets for $169.95 with "free" shipping. But don't forget you must add an $8.95 handling fee for this order. This brings the total cost of your order to $178.90. We sell the same ring & pinion set for only $145.00 plus shipping. We can have this part shipped most anywhere in the country for around $20-25. This makes your total cost on the order about $165-$170. We will save you a minimum of $8.90. Shipping is not so "free" is it? Who do they think they're fooling? This is just one of many items that we can save you money on versus our competition. In the example above the customer who buys from our competition probably gets a pretty good deal if they are 1500 miles from the store but the poor guy 100 miles away is getting robbed. We don't play the "free" shipping game because we want you to know exactly what you're paying for. If you'll take a few minutes to compare you will find that so called "free" shipping ends up costing you in the end. Don't pay too much for your parts! DD

The "Legend"
The Legend body styling kit is our first foray into having parts made exclusively for GEFRacing. We're really taking a significant risk because of the quantities we have to buy. It's risky because it's a totally new product and we don't have the name recognition of a Saleen or Roush. This kit really turned out awesome, but of course I am somewhat biased. But really this kit is a traffic stopping, head turner. The pictures do not do the kit justice, it has to be seen in person to really appreciate it. The best thing about the hood and the wing is that they use existing factory mounting points. The fact that you can have the pieces pre-painted makes this a really easy do-it-yourself install. There's nothing else like it currently on the market. I really hope you like it as much as we do here. Please buy the Legend body kit - I would like to keep my job. :) DD

Shipping
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our shipping manager - Will "Wheel" Rivers. Other than the website itself, shipping is central to any online enterprise that sells products. Will does a great job shipping our parts. The majority of our parts are shipped within 24 hours of recieving an order. This is really quite an acheivement as we process hundreds of shipments weekly. Unfortunately in a business as busy as we are mistakes occur. Occasionally we get addresses wrong or put an incorrect part in a shipment - occasionally. When this happens, Will makes every effort to correct the mistake in a timely manner. Shipment tracking is something most people are concerned with. If we have your email address, UPS automatically emails you the tracking information in the evening. This happens after the information is uploaded to the UPS system that evening. In the event that you do not get a tracking number, Will can gladly assist you. We appreciate Will's hard work and dedication. We're sure you do as well when your packages arrive when expected. Welcome to GEFRacing's entry into the blogoshpere. We feel the need to start blogging because our website has gotten so large and we have so many new things going on that the old email newsletter is not effective. Sending out too many emails in our opinion is intrusive, even to people who subscribe to the email list. This will be an unabashed sales blog. Here is where we will begin posting many of the new happenings, offerings & sales at GEFRacing.com. But along the way we will also post items of interest (hopefully) as to why we do some of the things we do, how we get some of the great deals we offer, and some of the inner workings of a Mustang parts internet business.
